Hello Good People! Hope that you all are doing well. Well, it's that time of year where we gather with family, friends and community to celebrate! I love a good get together with my family and friends and we always, always have lots of great food!
We were taught to say grace before eating, but sometimes the people who prayered over the food prayed just a little too long. So I wrote a book about it and it's called, " Don't Let Auntie Mabel Bless The Table". I did this book many years ago with Blue Apple Books and I just love it! It is the first book I ever wrote, but now I get to share it with you all here. Click to watch me read the book. Please enjoy!

The moments like these in the family setting are immediately comfortable, and the humorous and customary are united at the table. The humorous storytelling and the homely children book illustrations are captivating to all the reactions, so that the scene is unforgettable and the ideal accompaniment of the spirit of the Don't Let Auntie Mabel Bless the Table.
This post reminded me of a Sunday dinner at a neighbour’s place in Toronto. Everyone was starving while their aunt kept adding more blessings, and the food went cold. Moments like that feel straight out of stories shared in Book Publishing Canada circles. Reading this brought that same warm, funny family memory back.
