Calm and Collage Classes

Hello Good Peoples! Hope that you all are doing well. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
You know, life is happening and so much is going on in the world and so many of us are in fear and depression and anxiety. Sure there are lots of ways to try to fix it such as eating, sleeping, handling it with right and wrong medications. Some of us get therapy and others don't even have insurance or insurance that covers any of these mental challenges. You may be dealing with depression etc, but you are not depression itself. It just wants to plague you and leave you feeling as low as possible. We don't need anyone's permission to feel good. To feel joyful and peaceful. That is YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT as a human being to feel these wonderful feelings.
I know a little something about depression and anxiety and fear. I have had to deal with them all, but I have found that ART helps me a great deal. Just sketching in my sketchbook helps me to flush out thoughts and emotions that don't serve me. I get to choose JOY and I do it through line, collage, color and texture, but there is something so very powerful about the collage part. Teehee!!!
Collage is the... well... LAXATIVE to blocked creativity in my humble
opinion. There is something so very healing about tearing, cutting and ripping paper and then not thinking too hard about putting them down onto whatever surface suits you. Art shouldn't have to be about competition. It should be about creative energy. A high vibe that makes you feel alive and good. Competition often steals creativity from you if you let it.
I am hosting, on next month, another Calm and Collage session where we will do 20 mins of meditation followed by 1.5 hours of creating collage. These classes are recorded through Zoom and we can have up to 100 people in a session. We would love for you to join if you would like. There is a cost of $25.OO per session and you have the video for life. So far we have been having a great time together creating collage. We laugh a lot and sometimes share stories about journeys to better mental health. We encourage each other as well. It's just a Calm and joyful time.
